You should understand that by ordering any of our Products, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Information about us

This website is owned by Annette Duckworth and the main trading address is 5 Grove Park Terrace, Chiswick, London, W4 3QG, England. We are not VAT registered.

Service Availability

Our site is only intended for use by people resident in the countries we deliver to. We do not accept orders from individuals outside those countries.

Your Status

By placing an order through our site, you warrant that: you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and you are purchasing the products outside the course of your normal business or trade and not for resale.

How the contract is formed between us and you

After placing an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a product. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail order confirmation. The contract between us will only be formed when we send you the order confirmation.

Delivery charges

Standard UK delivery is £1.95 per order
Orders over £30 qualify for free delivery
International shipping charges are calculated per order once you have proceeded to the checkout.

Import regulations and duty

If you order goods from our Site for delivery outside the UK, they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order

Right to cancel

All customers have the right to cancel their orders under the The Distance Selling Regulations which gives consumers extra protection when buying online. Specific legislation here that applies is regulation 8 of The Distance Selling Regulations. You have the right to cancel the purchase of a good without having to give a reason at any time within the “cooling off period” of seven working days, beginning on the day after you receive the goods. If you are in possession of the goods you are under the duty to retain them and take reasonable care of them. You must send the goods back to us to our contact address at your own cost (unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is damaged or defective) as soon as possible once you have cancelled the contract. We reserve the right to make a charge not exceeding our direct costs of recovering the goods if you do not return the goods or return them at our expense. Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel the contract, any sum debited to us will be refunded to you as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your cancellation. You will not have any right to cancel a purchase for the supply of any of the following goods:

  • for the supply of goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised or which by reason of their nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;

Stock Availability

We do try to ensure that we have good stock availability of all products. However, some goods may sell faster than we predict. If the item you have ordered is not in stock, we will do our best to get it for you as quickly as possible. If we cannot get the item we will cancel your order immediately and let you know by email.

If we can get the item, but cannot deliver it to you within our delivery policy, we will email you with the option to cancel your order.

Conformity of the products

We warrant to you that any product purchased from us through our site will, on delivery, conform in all material respects with its description, be of satisfactory quality, and be reasonably fit for all the purposes for which products of that kind are commonly supplied. Every care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions and specifications of our products on this website are correct.

All Duckworths of Chiswick products are made by hand and as a result can contain minor imperfections, weight differences and ingredient imbalances.

To pay for your order

Payment for all Products must be by credit or debit card or PayPal. We accept payment with Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards, as well as Maestro, Visa Electron and Visa Debit cards. All orders are managed through PayPal.

Email newsletter

If you sign up to our newsletter we may use your email address to send you information about products or services. You can opt out of these at any point and you can ask for personal data to stop being recorded at any time.

However, if you are a resident in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
