Description

A lovely recipe containing Olive Oil and fragranced with Lavender Essential Oil, the best known and most venerated of all plant fragrances. On the skin, Lavender Essential Oil it is soothing and non-sensitizing.

The name Castile soap strictly means that the recipe contains only Vegetable oils as is traditional in Southern Europe and the Middle East, not Tallow as was the norm in Northern Europe. But most Castile soap will contain Olive Oil, as does this recipe, because Olive Oil is the most moisturising of all the oils used in soap making.
